training 6,000+ employees on electronic submissions system
The Mission:
Create an online learning program to train 6,000+ employees on electronic submissions system; save the company money and employees time.
The Business Challenge:
A Fortune 500 pharmaceutical company was implementing a global electronic submissions system, which would be used to create, manage and deliver drug submissions to regulatory agencies. Implementation of the new system required the company to make fundamental changes in its drug development practices. More than 10,000 employees, worldwide, had to be trained and certified to use the new system, as well as be trained on new business processes for the electronic submissions environment. The training solution needed to provide consistency, scalability and cost efficiency, while adhering to regulatory requirements associated with validated systems.
The Praxis Solution:
Praxis helped the management team define a training strategy to meet the needs of the users, the project and the business. While the training strategy reflected a blended approach, an e-Learning course was the primary training and certification tool. With a focus on effectiveness and efficiency, Praxis designed and built an e-Learning course to meet the following requirements:
  • Content consistency
  • Customized content based on functional role
  • Simulation technology to provide hands-on practice with the new system
  • Just-in-time reinforcement system
  • Part 11 compliance
  • Scalable
The Result:
Company employees get the specific training content they need, when they need it, where they need it. Because the course customizes content by functional role, users are required to take only the training they need, reducing time spent in training by up to 50%. The company also saved more than $200,000 by using Praxis' simulation capabilities rather than building and maintaining a dedicated training system.
